Tile backsplash or furniture fronts:

Slate-Lite Stone Veneers in the Kitchen

Natural stone for kitchen backsplashes & furniture fronts

Anyone looking for a kitchen backsplash in a stone-look design will find the higher-quality solution with 𝘚𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦-𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘦: real natural stone instead of imitation stone effect. The thin stone veneers feature a 100% natural stone surface and are ideal for kitchen backsplashes, splashbacks, tile mirrors or furniture fronts.

The panels are only approx. 1.5 mm thin, lightweight, flexible and quick to install. With a suitable substrate, 𝘚𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦-𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘦 can often be bonded directly onto existing tiles. Custom sizes and large formats are also possible – ideal for a low-joint kitchen backsplash with minimal effort.

✓ 100% natural stone surface
✓ Only approx. 1.5 mm thin
✓ Can be installed directly onto existing tiles
✓ Custom sizes and large formats available

Whether as a kitchen backsplash, splashback, tile backsplash or furniture front: Slate-Lite brings real natural stone exactly where kitchen surfaces are meant to make an impact. The thin stone veneers are suitable for walls behind countertops, sinks and cooktops, as well as for fronts, side panels, counters or kitchen islands.

Many surfaces can be produced directly in custom sizes. This means a kitchen backsplash can often be installed as one large panel – with fewer joints, a calm overall look and significantly less effort than traditional tiles.

For special accents, a backlit kitchen backsplash is also possible. This is particularly easy to achieve with our Lightboards, which impressively highlight the natural stone structure.

How easy it is to renovate your kitchen with Slate-Lite

1. Check the substrate
The surface should be solid, dry, and clean. If existing tiles are securely bonded, they can simply remain in place.

2. Prepare the surface
Level out minor uneven areas, open joints, or damaged spots. It is best to plan sockets, connections, and visible edges in advance.

3. Cut Slate-Lite to size
Cut the panels to size or order them directly in your custom size. Cut-outs for sockets, fittings, or niches can be easily adapted.

4. Bond the stone veneer
Apply a suitable adhesive, position the Slate-Lite, press it into place, and align it. Thanks to its low weight, the material is quick and easy to work with.

5. Finish edges and connections
Finish transitions, wall connections, and visible edges neatly. Profiles can be used for clean edge finishes.

6. Protect the surface
For kitchens, we recommend a suitable impregnation or sealer. It protects the natural stone surface against water, grease, dirt, and everyday use.

The result: a fast kitchen renovation with real natural stone – with fewer joints, fully customised, and with significantly less effort than a conventional tile renovation.
